Game Story

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) -- Drew Henson and Ryan McGuire combined to drive in three runs in the six inning and help the Columbus Clippers edge the Charlotte Knights, 4-3. Henson, who went 2-for-4, hit an RBI double in the sixth inning and McGuire followed with a two-run homer over the right field fence to score the go-ahead run for Columbus. Bobby Smith added an RBI single for the Clippers, who are 13-1 when leading after seven innings. Christian Parker (1-3) allowed three runs and scattered 10 hits in 6 1/3 innings to pick up the win and Jason Anderson struck out three over the final two innings to earn the save for Columbus. Joe Borchard and Cliff Brumbaugh each had a pair of hits, including an RBI double, for Charlotte. Josh Stewart (0-1) surrendered four runs and 10 hits in six innings to suffer the loss for the Knights, who have dropped eight of their last 10 contests.
